Able Australia is a leading not-for-profit service that provides support and services for people with multiple disabilities including deafblindness.
We provide a wide range of services to people with multiple disabilities including deafblindness. These services include in-home support, respite care, art and music therapy, all designed to create a community where people with multiple disabilities are seen, heard, respected, valued and connected. Finding the resources to support these services is always a difficult task.
Able Australia was originally founded more than 40 years ago as the Deafblind Association when an outbreak of Rubella caused children to be born with multi-sensory disabilities.
Able Australia provides services in Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory; and is actively seeking to expand into other states and territories. We receive funding from both the Government and from the private and corporate sectors through various fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
